Dr. Mathison brings extensive expertise in advanced vision correction, specializing in LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery, and implantable contact lenses (ICL). His arrival marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to provide world-class eye care in San Diego.
A Southern California native, Dr. Mathison earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, where he first developed a passion for medicine while working as an EMT. He then pursued his medical degree at Washington University and completed his ophthalmology residency at UCLA.
With a strong background in medical devices and cutting-edge technology, Dr. Mathison is dedicated to providing patients with the most advanced surgical solutions available today. His commitment to innovation ensures that our patients receive the best possible outcomes in vision correction.
