I got PRK surgery exactly one year ago on February 13 (tomorrow, yay!), and since then, my life has completely changed! My eyes used to become very dry when I would wear contacts, and although I loved my glasses, I was literally blind if I didn't wear them. Wearing glasses or contacts was a necessity for me... until I got PRK surgery! Over this past year, I was preparing for my wedding that was in October, and I was so pleased at the thought that I would not have to keep putting in rewetting drops throughout the day and reception from wearing contacts! We had a beautiful wedding, especially since my eyes were not irritating me or dry, and we went to Europe for 2 weeks immediately after. My eyes felt great despite the amount of plane/train rides we took on our trip, and because of having 20/10 vision, I was able to see the sights with more clarity than I could have ever had with just contacts or glasses!

Here is a picture of my husband, Justin, and me on a hike in Cinque Terre, Italy. The hike started in the city of Monterosso, and we hiked to the city of Vernazza (pictured). There was a wonderful spot overlooking Vernazza that we took this picture at. It was beyond beautiful! Because of my PRK surgery, I can now travel to places like this worry-free and hassle-free, as I no longer need to bring all my contact lens/glasses supplies in my luggage, and my eyes no longer are constantly dry form my contacts. PRK has set my vision free!

I LOVE to explore our world with my family. Here are some recent pictures of our trip to New York. I love that I no longer have to pack my glasses and contact stuff when we travel. Thanks for the AWESOME vision!

Since surgery, I can enjoy the snow with my super fluffy dog, Balto without having to worry about contacts and getting my contacts getting dirty because of the wilderness and the fur of my dog! I couldn't be happier!

After my LASIK, I have 20/15 vision and I'm the unofficial "spotter" during all of our golf games. I never lose a ball anymore! Thank you guys so much. Best investment I've ever made.

Since getting LASIK I have been loving life without the hassle of contacts and glasses. I recently went skydiving for the first time and was able to take it all in with crystal clear sight! What a view! I also love being able to read and watch movies without worrying about dry contacts. Wish I had done it sooner!

... Wanted to submit two photos from my trip last month. I'd never have been able to travel and paint like this without my glasses!

After having my Lasik eye surgery I am more spontaneous, I am able to do yoga anywhere at any time without worrying about my glasses falling off in certain poses. I can always see the teacher and feel more able to let go in class.

I love my eyes! I don't have to worry about wearing or dropping my glasses... or forgetting them somewhere!

This is my favorite thing I get to do... be with my kids and not have to worry about the little one's kicking my glasses off my face!

My name is Anna Madsen. I have been diving since I was 16 years old. This hobby has crossed with my other passion: underwater photography. However having an astigmatism and wearing contacts it was very hard for me to focus and take pictures. After LASIK I could focus more on taking underwater photos and less time worrying about my contacts or glasses. Thanks Clearview!

Here's a photo of me doing what I love, fishing. Since I've had PRK lasik done, I don't have to worry about carrying contact solution etc. on the boats with me. I've worn some kind of corrective lenses since I was 5. Had the surgery done at 49!

Before I had Lasik playing ice hockey was a challenge. Either my glasses would fog up or my contact lenses would irritate my eyes with perspiration. Now I can play hockey free of those challenges and with perfect vision. Thank you Clearview!

Hi Katie, Here's my photo entry for the contest. Since Dr. Feldman performed my lasik surgery I have picked up snorkeling as a hobby. Here's a photo of me and my boyfriend at a hidden beach inside of the Marieta Islands in Mexico. To get to the hidden beach you have to snorkel through an underwater tunnel that's full of rocks and sea life. I've grown to love snorkeling so much that I'm now looking into scuba diving! I never would have been able to enjoy this hobby while having to wear glasses and I was never very good with contacts; plus I'd probably lose them in the ocean.

I am now a private pilot.

Getting Lasik from Dr. Sandy T. Feldman has helped me enjoy cycling more! Not having to worry about dry eyes, blowing dust, or losing a contact while riding gives me peace of mind and motivates me to get outdoors and enjoy my passion! Thank you Dr. Feldman!

Hello Clearview!

LASIK has changed my life. First of all, no more waking up to glasses smushed up on my face. No more restrictions on my driver's license. No more lenses getting scratched.

Especially, for my 30th birthday, the theme was go big or go home. I went skydiving for the first time, and have loved it ever since! I can see the world rushing up towards me crystal clear. :)

Since having Clearview eye surgery I've been able to get back in the water wake boarding, surfing and playing in the ocean with my husband two little girls! I've never felt so free. Thanks Clearview!

Here is me snorkeling after getting PRK a few years ago from ClearView. I couldn't wear contacts anymore because I'd get severe dry eyes and you can't wear glasses while snorkeling!

Thank you so much for everything your office has done! I am very pleased with my results. I had surgery July 2nd, 2011 and have been a completely different person since. My anxiety levels have drastically dropped, my ability to work on a computer has increased, reading without having my contacts dry out, and many other things! Most importantly all outdoor activities involving water like swimming and going to the beach are possible now thanks to my surgery. I am especially thankful for the office staff and Dr. Feldman you guys were amazing throughout the entire process! Also being an EMT with poor eye sight was never ideal for my career. Not only is my eye sight better but I do not have to worry about infections/contamination like I used to for wearing contacts. I continue to see my routine optometrist once a year for an annual preventative exam and he is happy to see me live my life so differently now.

I have attached some pictures of the things I love to do (and CAN do) now. One of my favorites is make-up. I love love love makeup especially for the weekends, and I no longer have to worry about how irritated or itchy my eyes will be if I do my eye makeup.

One of the main reasons I got LASIK was because I am an outdoorsy girl and hiking, camping and trekking are some of my favorite things to do. Unfortunately, they are also dirty things to do. It was difficult and dangerous to put a dirty finger in my eye to remove contacts and put them back in. Since my LASIK I have done lots of trekking, but my most recent trek was the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal. We crossed over the Throng La Pass at 5416 m after 14 days of trekking. It was amazing! And I didn't have to worry about changing contacts or prescription sunglasses.

With the work done from Clearview eye center I now have vision like "Peppermint"! Well, almost. ;) I'm able to fully enjoy an activity I've wanted to do for more than 40 yrs. Falconry is a centuries old sport where man and bird work together. I enjoy the challenge as well as watching Peppermint soaring.

Ever since my surgery I've been able to wear sunglasses and walk around Disneyland Resort all day long!!! My eyes don't get dried out wearing contacts and my overall theme park experience has gotten better!! Thanks.

My eye surgery was, by far, the best thing I ever did for myself. After wearing glasses and/or contacts for over 50 years, being able to pass the eye test for my driver's license renewal, seeing the ball better on the tennis court, and being able to read menus in a restaurant are among the many benefits I have realized as a result of Dr. Feldman's expertise.

However, the biggest benefit is being able to see my first (and only) grandson clearly (see above).

Before LASIK, I had a hard time running. My contacts always bothered me and dried out my eyes. Since LASIK, I have been able to enjoy the great outdoors with a lot less hassle. I can see so much clearer with LASIK than I ever could with my contacts and overall my running experience is 100% better! Thank you Dr. Feldman for changing my life!

Reading is something I've always enjoyed but would get headaches and dry eyes from my contacts cause I never wore glasses that much. Since Lasik it's so much easier. Also, I love not having to worry about taking contacts out before sleeping it's amazing and I love my results. The doctors did a great job and I strongly recommend anyone to Clearview. I was scared of Lasik at first but it's really nothing at all.
